Skills for Devices and Desktops


Are you struggling with our increasingly technology focussed world?

The course will provide basic to intermediate technology skills on a range of devices including desktops computers, laptops, tablets and mobile phones.

You can bring your own laptops or tablets and you will also have access to desktop PCs and iPad’s so that you can experience a wide range of technologies. Topics covered will include use of Microsoft Office applications, security and virus protection, internet research, emails and online applications.

Event Planning

In this workshop you will participate in the planning and running of an event from start to finish. You will learn how to document your event plan and checklist, complete a risk assessment, create a budget in Excel, create and implement a marketing plan, create a site plan, and evaluate the success of your event.
